Alain Bories appointed Director for Strategy and Corporate Development

OHB Technology AG (ISIN: DE0005936124) would like to announce that Mr. ALAIN BORIES was appointed Director for Strategy and Corporate Development and Director General of OHB-France.

48-year old Alain BORIES is an engineer for armament technology and qualified at the Ecole Polytechnique and the Sup’Aéro. He equally passed the French Licence in Applied Economy at the University of Paris Dauphine, and acquired the degree of a Master of Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (US).

He started his professional career with the Délégation Générale pour l’Armement, the French General Agency for Military Procurement, where he was responsible for the programmes C3I for the air force.

In 1987, he started to work for Alcatel ISR, where he performed various functions including that of the Director of the Department for Aeronautic Control. In the year 1996, he became the Vice President for Aeronautics in Alcatel's Department Radio, Space, Defence, before he took over the job of the Director for Institutional Markets with Alcatel Space in 1998.

In the year 2000 he changed to the enterprise of Thomson-CSF (later: Thales), where he worked as the Director of the Space Department and the Galileo programme till 2004.

Apart from that, Mr. Alain BORIES is the Vice President of the Association of Graduates of the Ecole Polytechnique.
