OHB-System AG awarded technology prize by Steinbeis-Stiftung

OHB System has received the "Löhnpreis" award from Steinbeis-Stiftung. The award, which includes prize money of EUR 20,000, is being shared between OHB and the team led by mathematics professor Christoph Büskens of the University of Bremen.
The award has been granted in recognition of a particularly successful transfer project in satellite technology: The Center of Technomathematics at the University of Bremen worked closely with OHB to develop mathematic software for optimizing satellite resource planning. This system was deployed for the first time with the SAR-Lupe program.
The "Löhnpreis" has been awarded annually by Steinbeis-Stiftung since 2004 in recognition of outstanding projects in the competitive transfer of technology and knowledge between science and industry. The award is named after the president of the Steinbeis College in Berlin and honorary trustee of Steinbeis-Stifting, Prof. Dr. Dr. Johann Löhn, in acknowledgement of his contribution to technological transfer.
