For more than four decades, scientists have been able to determine whether their experiments are suitable for use in space by carrying out TEXUS missions. OHB System AG, a subsidiary of the listed space and technology group OHB SE, has held a significant interest in the program ever since it was first launched. An unmanned TEXUS rocket completed its scientific mission in space after lifting off from northern Sweden on November 15, 2019.

The ExoMars mission has reached its final spurt: the carrier module, which was built by OHB in Bremen, left the company’s premises in Bremen late yesterday evening to undergo extensive testing in Turin (Italy) and Cannes (France). ExoMars is a joint project being pursued by ESA and the Russian space agency Roskosmos to search for traces of life on the Red Planet.

Owned by the Italian Space Agency ASI (Agenzia Spaziale Italiana), the satellite will be observing the earth with a hyperspectral optical sensor and collecting data for monitoring and predicting environmental changes on our planet.

Bremen, January 31, 2019 Four navigation satellites today were declared ready to join the constellation of the European satellite navigation system Galileo. The reason is the successfully completed test phase of the satellites in space. The Galileo FOC* satellites had been supplied by the space technology company OHB System AG and launched from the European launch site in Kourou, French Guyana, in July 2018. They will reinforce the satellite constellation, further boosting the capabilities of the European satellite navigation system.
